Easy to make SD card adapter [MK2]

Postby Moonglow » 22 May 2012, 05:44

Materials:
1. MicroSD card with adapter to full size card.
1. IDC-10 connector
2. Wires

Solder wires to sd card full size adapter
Code: Select all
EXT [MK2]          SD CARD
2(GND)             6(GND)
3(3.3V)            4(3.3V)
4(GND)             3(GND)
7(SDSCK)           5(CLOCK)
8(SDSSEL)          1(CS)
9(SDMOSI)          2(DI)
10(SDMISO)         7(DO)

between 3 and 4 contacts of SD CARD adapter put capasitors 0.1uF and 200-400uF ( better to use ceramic for about 10uF instead of electrolyte ). No need to use pull-up resistors... so it is realy simple solution. Just insert your microSD card in full size adapter and have fun ! )

p.s: For long life using better to buy Andrej adapter

What is the status of the whole SD-card option Andrej?
What can we do with an SD-card at this moment?

3. Prepare wires with IDC-10 sockets ( in my case i use second socket to connect external display board

4. Use solder to connect wires to sd card module

5. Optional, use glue gun to fix wires

6. If you do all this steps your adapter will work fine with MK2 board and looks like this

On Mk3/4

DATO- MISO
CMD - MOSI
SCK - CLK
? - CS
power and GND easy enough. SO anyone know where the CS pin connects to?

Thanks
