Heat Sink Attachment

Postby rwensley » 08 Mar 2016, 21:16

Greetings,

The Motor Driver 6A-256 has the power supply capacitors in a most inconvenient location leaving no good way to add a heatsink to the top.

Assuming the board uses heat vias, is the a picture available of the bottom of the board and pads for mounting a heat sink there?

Thanks,
Ron Wensley

You can use rubber flacks to fill the space between vias and the sink. Use thermal paste.

Heat Sink Attachment

I see that there is a new and larger heat sink that removes the need for a fan. Is there a place I could order these from?

Unfortunately we do not offer them. You can find them in some used electronic housing or circuits.
