limitswitches on MK2/4 unexpected behaviour

limitswitches on MK2/4 unexpected behaviour

Postby foamcube » 06 Dec 2016, 18:03

Hi,

We have an MK2/4 to control our 4-axes foamcube (2 towers with a hotwire). Our 4 independent axes each have a N-O microswitch hooked up to limit 1,2,3 and 4 on the control board.

Somehow the limitswitches only seem to protect the X and Y axes in each direction ?? We expect each limitswitch to protect its own axis in the negative direction (positive direction is protected by soft limits)

Does anyone know what is going on ?

When we trigger switch 1 the X-axis goes RED
the IO view shows a green dot at limit 1
and a green dot at active limit switch position 1 - 1st row

when we trigger switch 2 the X-axis goes purple (we expect : y-axis to go RED)
the IO view shows a green dot at limit 2
and a green dot at active limit switch position 1 - 2nd row (expected position 2 - 1st row)

when we trigger switch 3 the y-axis goes RED (we expect : U-axis to go RED)
the IO view shows a green dot at limit 3
and a green dot at active limit switch position 2 - 1st row (expected position 3 - 1st row)

when we trigger switch 4 the y-axis goes purple (we expect : V-axis to go RED)
the IO view shows a green dot at limit 4
and a green dot at active limit switch position 2 - 2nd row (expected postion 4 - 1st row)
