Axis Speedcontrol with selfmade remotecontrol

Postby PCSM-CNC » 15 Jun 2016, 12:26

Hello CNC- friends.

I want to wire a Potentiometer with my MK3/4 Controller for set Joggingspeed on my remotecontrol (selfmade).
I have some buttons on it to move x, y and z. I have some buttons to start, stop and brake the Millingprocess.
Everything works fine but how to adjust the speed by remote???

What kind of Poti i have to use? How many ohm? How many volts? I remember 3,3v from controller?

Maybee if i finished build my remotecontroller i can upload some Pictures.

Connect the potentiometer JOG connector of MK3 / 4. One end of the resistor to + 3.3V. The other end of resistor to GND. The middle connection to POT. Value 10kOhm log. Is recommended by Planet CNC so and works well.

How have you done with the start and stop?

I wired one button to gnd and "in 1"
One button to gnd and "in2"
and one to gnd and "in 3"

In settings i set "in 1" to start toggle"
in 2 to "stop toggle"
in 3 to "pause toggle"

So if i import or open an .nc or .tap file, i only have to push "Start" and the Mill beginn to work.
If i push "Pause" while running a Programm, all Axis stops but Spindle and vakuumcleaner still keep running. Thats good for not break the millingtool.

P.S: I wired some Relays to "out 1 and out 2" for automaticly start and stop Spindle and vakuumcleaner with starting and ending programm. It works great!

Someone have Questions or need help for wiring, post me.
