Measurements off after machining.

Measurements off after machining.

Postby Dferr34 » 30 Mar 2016, 15:18

Hello, I'm have a little problem with measurements of a part after machining. I have a part I'm using from Autodesk Iventor. I put it through Meshcam and then checked it in cutview. Everything checks out good.

After machining the dimensions are off about .005. It's a pretty small part, I'm trying to be very accurate. It seems to be off on the Z .005 less and off on the X .005 more. Could this be a backlash problem? I'll check that out as soon as I get the chance. Is there anything else I should check?

Thanks,
Don

What kind of material are you machining?
Can you post your program?
Can you post some pictures of your machine?

Thanks for getting back! I think I may have found my problem. I had to re-calibrate the z-axis.

Thanks,
Don
