With G53 active TNG will not load a gcode program using G02, G03, or G04.

This Question was asked before bot not answerd (or I missed it):
If I update my MK3 to this new firmware will I have any problems going back to the old version if there are problems?

So i will asked it for me again:
Can I change the firmware back, or is the previous software compatible with the new firmware?

Thanks,
Olivier

I'm unable to upgrade the firmware. I installed the latest driver, and everything looks like the tutorial until I click on "upgrade firmware" at which point i get the following error:

I have the Mk3/4 controller and I'm using Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you updated you controller with latest CNC USB controller version prior to when you update it with TNG?

I had the same problem, my solution was to update the new firmware in the old software first,
then went back to the new software, and update the firmware in TNG.

You tried to update controller from TNG 03.01 version to 03.05 version and you get this message?

Can you repeat this multiple times? And still no success?

That worked, thanks!

Not sure about how other feel, but I personally really liked the jogging controller in the old software. Is there a way that can be implemented in TNG? The XYZ single access manipulation is not as user friendly in this version.

Also, anyone having issues with the micro-stepping jog control? When I click on the arrows, nothing happens.

Thanks for the help.

Will TNG support 2D and 3D image files like the old software? I noticed that this feature and several other from the old software (better jogging controls, program information like run time) are missing in TNG. Is the plan to implement these in the official alpha release?

Thank you for working on this software!

I have been using your MK3/4 controller and software for sometime now to run Arnold. My cnc is a three axis. Is there any reason for me to upgrade?

Looks like there is a bit involved to convert to the TNG software.

This is the jogging control interface that TNG has vs. the multi axis control in the old software.

Also, I might be missing it, but is there a program status bar missing? I can't seem to find the time remaining in a project in TNG.

Thanks!

@dudemeister: In new TNG version that will be released you will be able to have fixed jogging keyboard on screen in main display, much like in old sw. Status bar for now is still not implemented.

@marcone:
Yes, this seem to an issue with some users.
- Exit all software's, either CNC USB controller or PlanetCNC TNG
-turn off and disconnect controller, meaning disconnect power supply and USB cable. Controller needs to be completely without power and connection
-Start PlanetCNC TNG software and update FW.

Try this multiple times, be persistent. We have a feeling that this is more of a Windows related problem.

Support,

How can I revert the firmware back so that I can use the old software. TNG has a lot of potential, but I think it is too beta for me to have made the move. Can you post procedures for getting the old firmware on the controller?

Thank you
