New STABLE version 2.10.1505.3001

Postby Support » 01 Jun 2015, 09:29

New stable version has been released and is available here:
http://www.planet-cnc.com/files/CNCUSB_20150530.zip

One thing worth mentioning is the use and location of transformation feature, which is now located in:
"Program/Advanced/Transformation from points" -> this is especially meant for production of double sided PCB's.

Full tutorial is coming soon.

Can this new version be installed from scratch or does it have to be installed over top of a previous existing version?

Remove previous version from your computer or when you install the latest version just c/p the .exe and .dll files to your previous folder.

Ciao
I can not open the file.dwg generated with Autoca11.
Quietly open the .dwg file in the folder examples.
With the previous version worked regularly.
Before reinstalling the SW I deleted the folder that contained the old version.

Grazie

Ciao
you can not enter the 'fix' in the newly released stable?
It would be much better for those who are not a good user of the SW.

Hello

I updated to the new version (stable as you mention) and now I cannot make the Z axis go bellow zero when I import DXF files. Before the upgrade everything was ok. I am using windows XP.
According to the information found in this forum I installed the new BETA release but the problem remains.
Pls inform if it is possible to get the old version of the software, so I can work without problems.

Thanks

At start I used the same settings used in the previous version. As it did not work I tried with several settings and the result was similar. The G code developed was quite allright with the Z value according to what was expected, that is -5.000, but the Z axis did not start cutting at -5.000 but allways at 0. I even tried with Z settings of -20.000 and the result was the same, Z cutting at 0. The DXF was not generated by Autocad, but by Illustrator CS3 and CorelDraw 12, and these kind of files worked perfectly with the previous version. I tried to fool the machine making the Z 0 just 5 mm bellow the material surface and the it cutted at Z 0, but did not cut the all parts, some were just cutted half or less. Today we have an holiday so I cannot send you a print screen of the settings. If necessary I'll do that tomorrow. If in the meantime the above information is enough pls let me khow.

Thanks

Hello,

MK2/4 latest firmware
CNCUSB v2.10.1505.3001

I am having problems importing DXF files. When the G code is generated the "safe height" is
way off. I have the safe height set to 0.25 inch and the g code is generating a 6.35 inch safe
height. It occurred to me that 0.25in = 6.35mm. I think there is a problem in the calculation
or conversion for inch to mm? It appears to be converting 0.25in to 6.35mm and then to 6.35inches in the gcode. In general settings I have Imperial inches set and in DXF import window "Units = inches" checked. The gcode for the xy axis is correct and z axis passes are correct.

Thanks
Mark
