I bought the same board at the end of 2015 also at 'RATTm engine'. When I learned that the board is a fake, which also uses an outdated processor, I have purchased a MK3 / 4 board and a valid license at PLANET CNC. So I get from Plant CNC synonymous support if there should be problems with the board or the software. For cracked boards or software licenses, you can not ask for help from planet CNC. Unfortunately, the china dealers do not say that their products are not support-entitled! I noticed this also only after the purchase.
Sorry.

All symptoms that you described earlier are indicating problems caused by a electromagnetic interference:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroma ... terference

This occurrence interferes with the USB communication, which as a results drops and communication between controller and PC is terminated.

You see, electro motors, VFDs etc...are sources of EMI and therefore your wiring and other devices should be properly shielded and filtered. You would need to use shielded cables and use line filters for VFD. Also controller needs to use external power supply for its stable operation.

Try this:
run your machine but without the spindle turned on. Try just air cutting your piece so that we see if spindle and its interference is to blame.

Like Deltaflyer saidm we do not support these boards
