Buying options

I have a 3020t 4 axis cnc router that has chinese card that recently i read could run both mach and planet cnc software....really read a guy was able to do it by paralel port....anyway i need a new controller the serials keep changing. so... I want to know what to buy using my control box im new to all this and i need to be up and running. Please help me figure this out.

You can purchase only controller and license and use existing stepper drivers that are integrated with your board.

If you would like to use your existing controller/driver board with PlanetCNC controller you need to check your boards DB25 connector pinout(red square in ConnectorPinout.png).

You could purchase DB25 adapter cable to connect all vital signals from controller to your board. Such as STEP and DIRECTION etc... Limit switches are connected directly to Mk3/4 controller.

Pinouts of DB25 adapter cable and pinout of your board should match in order to connect them and use your existing board as driver board.

Other option is also to purchase separate stepper drivers.
