CNC USB

Postby Kveavve » 21 Nov 2016, 21:10

Hi! I just built my first cnc router and have cnc usb software. What is the most important thing to think about when it comes to settings in the program? Where on the program I enter how deep the cutter to go for every game?
Thank you in advance!

Please understand that our software is a motion software - meaning, it is used in combination with our PlanetCNC controllers as a complete solution for CNC operations.

PlanetCNC software imports g-code (cnc machine language) and executes it as series of commands sent to controller which then controls the motor motion.

It is a common practice that users use dedicated CAM software for g-code program generation.

With CAM you can do much more. You can create cuts, milling of pockets, pre-set offset of various tools used in one job. Tool-changes etc...

While you can import DXF files directly into our software and g-code is automatically generated we would recommend using CAM sw for more complex programs.
