mod XY table as a shaker table

mod XY table as a shaker table

Postby Josephtan » 11 Nov 2014, 03:37

Hi, I am a newbie trying to see if there are any possibility of using the XY table as a shaker for a student project.
I am intending to use MK2/4 controller but not sure of its detailed function.
My objective is to be able to control the 2 stepper motors to move back and forth continously and set speed and distance (independent of each other).
Any advise?

This should be possible.
How do you intend to make a mechanical part of the table?

Mk2/4 can control up to 4 axes. You would also need two stepper motor drivers (if you intend to use stepper motors) to drive the motors. Controller gets commands from CNC USB controller software, where g-code program is executed.

You can make your own application using our API.

If you have any more specific questions please don't hesitate.

Hi Support,
Thank you for your response. Yes, I intend to get some hardware like Ball and Leadscrews with sliding rails and support holders.
Will you be able to advise on the specific models for stepper (load of project appr 10kg), API and the drive controller?
